Electroactive Polymers (EAPs), also known as 'artificial muscles,' have the potential to revolutionize a wide range of applications. Researchers worldwide have been optimizing the material for years in terms of its mechanical properties and increased durability. The development is increasingly moving towards commercialization.

What is the current state of research on EAPs?
How can the material be utilized in application areas such as soft robotics, medical technology, microsystems engineering, or for example, additive manufacturing?
What are some concrete examples of applications?

We cordially invite you to participate in this special EAP update session. Together with our Japanese research partner, the Nanomaterials Research Institute, Department of Materials and Chemistry, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, you will have the opportunity to engage in an open expert roundtable discussion following two exciting presentations with interesting application examples.

Subsequently, participants can each book one of 6 exclusive individual dialogue slots with the EAP experts.

In a compact time frame of 30 minutes, individual application scenarios can be discussed with EAP experts from Fraunhofer IPA and the Nanomaterials Research Institute, Department of Materials and Chemistry, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in enclosed Expert Dialogue Slots. Industry cases, ideas, or concepts can be examined in more detail and an assessment towards commercialization provided. Additionally, further steps and formats for commercialization can be determined upon request.
