The project "International Benchmark Biointelligence" (InBenBio) started in November 2022 with the aim of advancing progress in the integration of technology and biology and supporting the transition to sustainable value creation. The project's intention is to gain insights into developments in other countries and compare them with the conditions in Germany.

A delegation trip will lead to Boston, Massachusetts, known as one of the leading regions for research at the interfaces of the life sciences, engineering, and information technology. Here, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) holds a leading position in bio-convergence and the development of new technologies.

The insights collected on-site, experiences from international workshops, and the results of the comparison are planned to be published in a study and presented at professional conferences. In addition, presentations are scheduled for the 2024 Industry Day of the VDMA. InBenBio aims to clarify strategies and research perspectives for the economy, society, and politics and create room for action to position Germany as a leader in biointelligence.
