That is why we look for apprentices who are willing to learn, creative, open-minded, dedicated and motivated. They must also be team players, show initiative, as well as having a sense of responsibility and a proactive approach to their work.
We offer the following apprenticeships:
Apprenticeship in office management
Our motto is *learning by doing*.
With this particularly-wide-ranging training course, Fraunhofer IPA offers you plenty of variety. You get to work in almost all of the institute’s business departments – from purchasing, through order and travel management, right up to human resources and controlling.
Apprenticeship in industrial mechanics
Industrial mechanics recognize and prevent problems before they arise. You are responsible for
- Reading, implementing and compiling technical documents
- Differentiating between, classifying and handling materials
- Planning and controlling work processes and motion sequences, as well as verifying and evaluating results
- Carrying out maintenance on operating utilities
- Positioning and clamping tools and workpieces
- Manual and automated processing, and much more...
You will be taught the skills you need to master these challenging tasks, such as turning, milling and implementing control technology, such as CNC-machining, pneumatics, electro-pneumatics and SPS, as well as how to assemble and adjust modules.
Apprenticeship in electronics
Is tension what you are after? As an apprentice to become an electronics technician, you are in charge of electronic components, devices and systems. These have to function smoothly at all times so that scientists can get on with their work. For this reason, during your apprenticeship you learn how to assemble, carry out maintenance and even construct your own devices. You install and configure programs to ensure that the electronics devices required by the respective users are always available.
