It is crucial to Fraunhofer IPA to be kept up to date about the latest research and political activities regarding robotics and automation in the EU. Consequently, in addition to work on many other committees, the institute is closely involved in networking and roadmapping activities for euRobotics.
The main objective of the non-profit alliance euRobotics is to promote robotics research, developments and innovations in Europe, as well as to help society to view robotics in a more positive way. Through close collaboration with euRobotics, Fraunhofer IPA is able to contribute its experience and expertise, acting as an intermediary between European institutions and the German robotics and automation industry. At the same time, customers of IPA benefit from the institute’s high level of information and strategic advisory expertise, as well as from a valuable network in the robotics community. For example, since several scientists at Fraunhofer IPA are actively involved in ISO committees, they can offer companies first-hand information and advice on safety issues.
euRobotics is a project funded by the EU as part of the Seventh Framework Programme (grant number 248553).
